THE WILD FOR LIFE FOUNDATION Reaches GuideStar Platinum
Allows Donors to Focus on Progress and Results

August 17, 2016, STUDIO CITY, CA – THE WILD FOR LIFE FOUNDATION today earned the Platinum GuideStar Nonprofit Profile Seal of Transparency, the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar, the world’s largest source of nonprofit information. By sharing metrics that highlight achievements that  the Wild For Life Foundation (WFLF) is making toward its mission, the organization is helping the sector move beyond simplistic financial ratios to assess nonprofit progress.

The Wild for Life Foundation is proud of its continued commitment to excellence with an award from one of the most prestigious nonprofit watchdog groups in the country, Guidestar. This is the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar. GuideStar is among the most respected nonprofit watchdog sites available to donors.

We chose to display quantitative metrics such as the number of audience members engaged with our animal care programs, the number of animals with freedom from discomfort, hunger and thirst,  the number of favorable critic reviews/awards given by media or peers of the art, film and other multimedia we’ve produced, the number of websites and organizations (outside of our organization) that share our resources and information, the number of Saving America’s Horses’ coalition members, number of groups brought together in a coalition/alliance/partnership and the number of audience members with favorable attitudes towards the issue or interest to represent how diligently The Wild For Life Foundation is working toward achieving our mission.

"In accordance with our long-held belief in being transparent about our work,” said Wild For Life Foundation CEO Katia Louise, “we are excited to convey our organization’s results in a user-friendly and highly visual manner. We achieved Platinum by completing GuideStar’s preceding participation levels of Bronze, Silver, and Gold. Each provided stakeholders with increasingly detailed organizational information ranging from basic contact information to programmatic information.
GuideStar is among the most respected nonprofit watchdog sites available to donors. GuideStar takes it upon themselves to gather and disseminate information about every single IRS-registered nonprofit organization. GuideStar provides as much information as we can about each nonprofit’s mission, legitimacy, impact, reputation, finances, programs, transparency, governance, and so much more. This information at GuideStar.org allows donors to make the best decisions possible.

“This level of recognition represents the cornerstone of how we want to operate the Wild For Life Foundation,” said Katia Louise, “we achieve these awards by being transparent to our donors and sharing data that shows the impact we are having on our community every single day. I encourage you to visit our profile on GuideStar to see what we're all about,” added Katia Louise. “We’re thrilled that our GuideStar Platinum Nonprofit Profile and its associated benefits help us better communicate our organization’s exciting initiatives at a global scale.”

The Wild For Life Foundation (WFLF), a U.S. Registered Nonprofit Charity is at the forefront of efforts to rescue, protect and provide safe harbor for at risk animals, providing the space, peaceful habitat and quality of care which they deserve. Among our greatest concerns are imperiled wild horses and burros, abused, neglected and slaughter bound wild and domestic equines, and inadequate standards of protection for America's equine population as a whole. The WFLF promotes the conservation of wild horses on their Native lands, as well as the preservation of natural ecosystems, wildlife and the prevention of cruelty to animals. The WFLF strives to provide charitable equine assisted learning activities together with equine-therapy programs to aid youth and adults in building positive life skills. The WFLF is achieving these goals through operating equine rescue, sanctuary, education and wellness programs which provide community enrichment through fostering symbiotic environmental stewardship and a healing partnership with horses.
