Help is Needed to Replenish Emergency Hay Fund

Dear Friends,

PLEASE help if you can - we need help to replenish the emergency hay fund which covers one month feed for the Lifetime Equine Refuge horses. Hay can mean the difference in life or death to a horse. Hay is one of the most important continuing expenses we must fund-raise for. Remember NO donation is too small!

Before these innocent wild and domestic horses were rescued they were victims of horrible abuse; severely under weight and traumatized from America’s slaughter pipeline.  I know because work with each of the horses that come into our shelter myself. Many of these horses were rescued during the course of investigating the CA slaughter pipeline during the making of the film, "Saving America's Horses". They needed hay to begin their recovery and they needed love to gain back their self worth..  But it doesn’t end there. A balanced nutritional diet must be maintained to keep horses healthy.

Hay prices doubled this last winter and they have yet to drop back down to normal. It's costing twice as much to feed the rescue horses than before. We are asking supporters to consider making a donation - no amount is too small or too large - to help us feed the rescue horses.

Your donation of as little as $10 can help us make the life of a once slaughter bound, neglected or abused horse a lot brighter. Horses at Lifetime Equine Refuge know they were rescued and they appreciate every meal; morning, noon and night. Help us provide these loving and innocent horses with a lifetime of security by making a donation to our hay fund today!

You can donate on our blog and website, or you may click HERE  to donate to the hay fund through our website. Donations are also accepted through our Cause page on Facebook.
