About Lifetime Equine Refuge
Our educational program is dedicated to raising awareness about equine welfare issues with a focus on the preservation of America's wild horses and the need for protection of all horses from slaughter.
Lifetime Equine Refuge is the equine rescue program under Wild for Life Foundation (WFLF), a CA 501 (c)(3) volunteer based charity dedicated to saving, protecting and preserving horses in need.
Through our rescue program we provide medical care, food and love to horses in need. With the generous support of people who care, we are able to save lives and protects these horses from unspeakable cruelty. Please help us make sure that these once slaughter bound horses will always be cared for and never be forgotten. These majestic beings are a living testament to the will of the American public; that horses are not food and that all animals deserved to be treated humanely. No equine should ever have to suffer the fate of slaughter.
Lifetime Equine Refuge is also a proud member of the Home for Horses Coalition. The Homes for Horses Coalition is dedicated to ending horse slaughter and other forms of equine abuse while promoting growth, collaboration and professionalism in the equine rescue and protection community.
The Homes for Horses Coalition believes that: · Every horse has intrinsic value and deserves humane treatment at all stages in life. · The horse industry, including the equine veterinary medical profession, has an obligation to promote responsible horse breeding, ownership and care. · Horse owners have a responsibility to provide high-quality, long-term care for their horses. · All horses deserve a humane end to life and that horse slaughter is neither humane nor acceptable.
